Pack Up Your Troubles...

...in an old suitcase (?) and smile, smile, smile.
chalkboard suitcase repurposed http://bec4-beyondthepicketfence.blogspot.com/2012/05/pack-up-your-troubles.html I slapped some paint on an old cardboard suitcase, taped off a rectangle and added some chalkboard paint. I left the handle the original color.

A fun piece to use on the front porch to greet guests and useful too--you can store other porch decor in the suitcase, potting soil, dirty dishes...The girl who bought this is going to use it for her wedding reception as a decoration.

  2. Love this! I've seen some painted suitcases that really took away from the vintage charm buy your version just enhances it. And using it as a chalkboard sign was such a great idea. I have some less than attractive old suitcases that may be getting a similar makeover soon!
