Home Sweet Home Coat Hook

Home, sweet, home!  I hope that these words are true for you--that you find your home a haven and the place that you most want to be.  It is for me.

Don't get me wrong, I love to travel, love to see new places, love to go out with friends and visit family.  But, deep down I am a homebody.  I love being home with its familiar comfort (and clutter).  A day spent at home is indeed sweet for me.

So home sweet home was the sentiment I chose for this coat hook.
You may remember I made a stocking holder

(click HERE for some directions) like this at Christmas time--the stocking holder that has been copied over and over, even had someone using MY pictures on etsy to sell it.  I don't mind at all if you make what I share--that is why I share, but please give credit where credit is due.  But, I digress...

Anyway, I decided I could make a non-Christmas versions of this same idea and home sweet home is my first one.

I used the same colors I have been into, but never fear, I am working on some in other colors as well.

Some great hooks make this a versatile piece--perfect in an entry or in a bathroom for towels (oooh, typing that just gave me an idea...).

There are so many different posibilities, where would use it and what saying would you like to see on one?

  1. Live, Love, Laugh. I like everything about that saying. I try to make it my standard for life. That would be awesome on one of your creations. You might have even already used it before. If not, I'd love for you to. Thanks!

  2. It makes me sad when I hear about people taking other folks ideas to make a profit and not giving credit to the true author or artist. It sure speaks the truth of that person's integrity. I love your signs and would find "Fabulous" or "Create" wonderful sentiments to add to them. Or a good old "Welcome" sign is always inviting. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful & creative ideas.

  3. I love it and I just pinned it. I'd like to make mine into a nautical theme, any suggestions on the wording for a nautical theme? Thanks for sharing! :) -Bev
