Hot cocoa, who doesn't love a big ol' warm mug full of creamy hot chocolate, bitty marshmallows, maybe a little whipped cream.
In December my coffee area...station...bar...hangout becomes a cocoa station. My coffee spot sits on my counter in an old drawer. With a few easy changes it is transformed for winter.
The chalkboard "wall" is really just a thin piece of plywood painted with chalkboard paint and adhered to the wall with Command adhesive "velcro" strips, which makes it easy to change up. So I just doodle and play until I get a design I like (and erase the chalk when I don't). This one has a hot cocoa recipe on it.
I added more jars for more yumminess, like white hot chocolate (one of my favorites) and marshmallows. The cinnamon sticks for tea were replaced with candy canes.
I keep some thrift store spoons in a cup and replaced my normal coffee mugs with these hot chocolate cups and saucers that I got at Goodwill.
I bought this little banner at the dollar spot at Target. I hand-painted the enjoy on it and strung it across the front of my cocoa station.
The cocoa station is cheery and hopefully welcomes and encourages guests to stir up a steamy mug of the good stuff.
