MORE Gratitude--Practice Gratitude to Change Your Life

add gratirude to your daily routine
Wow, that title has hints of a late night infomercial in it!  But, I truly believe (as do researchers) that purposefully practicing gratitude and thankfulness is life changing.
free printable and easy ways to practice gratitude

I have kept gratitude journals in different times in my life, including when I went through a pregnancy with a child who I knew had a rare heart defect and who died at six days old.  I think it saved my sanity and helped me get through one of the most difficult times in my life.

Since that time, I have practiced gratitude when my "thinkin' gets stinkin'"!  Sometimes when I am feeling particularly negative, I force myself to list 10 things I am grateful for.

And I say FORCE because sometimes we just don't want to or can't seem to see the positive.  But, when I stop to really think, I realize I have so much to be thankful for, even on the really horrible, terrible, no good, bad days.

Research shows being grateful on a regular basis has a number of positive benefits such as feeling happier, having more energy, being healthier, having less stress, improving blood pressure, etc.
practice being thankful to change your life
This week let's really practice gratitude by printing out this FREE PRINTABLE and physically listing 5 things each day you are grateful for. Be thankful for the little things, anything that you can think of that you might take for granted.

Also, consider buying a small journal to keep as a gratitude journal to write in daily.  Let me know what you are thankful for and what you are working on!

    1. Thank you Deb! Yes, God is happy when we remember to thank him for all he does for us. Glad he is understanding when I forget to be thankful.
