Foodie Friday: Easy, Delicious, Gluten Free Marinade

best marinade ever, grilled chicken, gluten free, easy recipe, http://bec4-beyondthepicketfence.blogspot.com/2016/03/foodie-friday-easy-delicious-gluten.html
I love a good grilled piece of chicken or steak.  Vegetarian I am not.

I throw together all kinds of ingredients to marinade the meat before grilling.

I finally decided to measure ingredients out and share my favorite, easy, gluten free marinade.

Gluten Free Marinade
1 1/2 TBSP yellow or dijon mustard
3 TBSP Liquid Aminos or soy sauce
3 TBSP balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup oil (I use avocado oil)
1/3-1/2 cup honey
2 TBSP onion flakes
2-3 cloves of garlic, finely minced
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 - 1/2 tsp. red pepper
black pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients in a pint sized jar with a tight fitting lid.  Liquid Aminos is a natural soy sauce.  It is gluten free and better for you than soy sauce.

Shake well.  Store in refrigerator until ready to use. Shake before use.  (This picture was taken after I used it on my chicken last night.)

The longer you marinate your meat, the better. This is good on both steak and chicken. I always try to get it marinating in the morning.  Remember to discard any marinade that the raw meat was soaking in.

Enjoy!

  2. I marinated steak using this recipe. It was so tender and juicy, plus I didn't need to season it. It was delicious. I am going to marinate chicken tomorow. Thanks for sharing.
