Farmhouse Desk
I have been on the farmhouse kick. Blame it on JoAnna! I love the rustic simplicity of the farmhouse look--the white, chippy paint with wood.
I knew some of this beautiful, reclaimed barnwood would be perfect for a small table or desk.
This piece is very similar to THIS farmhouse table I made from pallets, but it is made from barnwood, which gives it a warm, weathered look.
The boards run lengthwise on this table and because I made it a little smaller (40"x 27"), I think it makes a perfect farmhouse desk.
I left the finish natural, i.e., I didn't use any stain on it, but the clear, polyacrylic brought out the beauty of the wood.
I painted the apron and legs white.
I also made another wood "upholstered" chair to sit at the desk. (Here is a tutorial for that!)
A sweet little piece, perfect for the modern farmhouse!
