12 Days of Christmas Thrift Store Style

Y'all, I am soooo behind on my annual 12 Days of Christmas Posts! I typically start on November 1st, and here it is the middle of the month and I have not started. But, I have been thinking and planning. I really liked what I did last year (You can see it HERE) so I decided to not switch it up too much.

So, for my eighth year of 12 Days of Christmas I decided to make some simple things to add to my rustic decor using thrift store finds. I will be using items that are pretty easy to find at thrift stores, rather than one of kind things.

But, before I show you any projects, I wanted to share some of the things you should be looking for at your local thrift store. I spent less than $25 on all of the thrift store goodies I am using.

There will be other bits and pieces that you may need to purchase from a craft store or dollar store. INEXPENSIVE is definitely the name of the 12 Days of Christmas game this year.

Look for an inexpensive wood chair. This one is missing a spindle from the back, but it doesn't matter for what we will be using it for.

Find a wreath, our thrift store had several, I picked the best looking one.

Also look for a multi-clip pants hanger or single clip pants hangers, old cardboard game boards, children's blocks or other fun toys such as metal cars, round metal trays (they do not need to be Christmas themed) or pie pans.
look for childrens games and toys at the thrift store
Other items not pictured that you might want to keep an eye out for include thick books, a plaid flannel in Christmas colors, old strings of Christmas lights with the big bulbs, vintage ornaments, a square or rectangular cutting board.

Get hunting and I will see you back here tomorrow night for the Day 1 project!
