Grow--Rustic Wood Planter

I didn't know what I was building when I hit the garage today, but this is one item I came up with.

After I made it, I wasn't sure what it was going to be used for, but then I saw my sad little kitcen herbs (too early for flowers here in Montana) and decided planter.

Some great reclaimed barn wood, complete with square nails,

a little 3 sided box on the front (put togeter and attached with the nail gun),

and the word grow.

I sealed it with a clear spray and drilled some small holes in the bottom of the box for drainage.

I love the weathered, old barn wood--simple and functional!  This will be going into my etsy shop later this evening!

  1. Love the look of the white letters on the rustic wood. Where did you get those letter stencils? I work at a JoAnn fabric & craft store & we don't have stencils that large.
