Hmmm, ever switch your decor plans midstream? Yikes, that is what I just did due to these pillows I made for Day 9's project. And that switch happened because of a mistake, but a rustic farmhouse Christmas it is!
Using my FREE printables at the end of this post, print on iron on transfer paper. I used Avery brand purchased at Target and I will be using it again for day 12's project.
Remember, with iron on transfer paper your design has to be in reverse. I have provided a reverse image for you!
Be sure to follow the instructions for the transfer paper.
I originally transferred mine onto 17"x 17" white muslin. But, you can still see where the transfer plastic ends and the fabric starts and I didn't like that, so I cut the fabric down and added the vintage tablecloth fabric. This tablecloth is from 1955, it had initials and the year stitched in the corner. Sadly, it also had many holes and stains, so it was a cutter.
I added white muslin for the back, stuffed 16" pillows in them and hand stitched them close.
They add a bit of brightness to the too dark, I regret buying it, but it can't be changed now, couch. Oh, and that blank wall behind my tree will be filled tonight.
I shared the non-reverse versions too--these would be cute printed and framed!
