Thrift Store Swivel Stool Makeover

A simple swivel stool from the thrift store (a Pottery Barn stool none the less), 

gets a chippy paint makeover.

I "block" painted this piece, i.e. painted with blocks of wood, to give it a fun, rustic, boho look.

It looks like it could have been used in an art studio or an old farmhouse for years.

I sanded some of the paint off after it was dry and stained over the top.

A simple makeover--my favorite kind of makeover--for an inexpensive thrift store find. (It does swivel up and down for different heights.)
