More Patience

ways to more patient

Boy, I am becoming more and more aware of my own impatience and the impatient world we are living in.

We live in a time when instant gratification is rampant and it has created impatient, angry people.

We are impatient driving, impatient waiting in line, impatient in relationships and working out problems, impatient trying to learn new things.  We are like Veruca from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate factory--we want it and we want it now!

Impatience causes us stress and is bad for our health. Impatience leads to poor decisions and poor judgement. Our impatience hurts people we love.

The good news is, patience can be practiced and learned.  We can become MORE patient when we try.  Print out this FREE patience worksheet and pick a few ideas to work on THIS week.

  1. I try to be patient & will often let the person with one or two items go ahead of me at the grocery store. I must say that the impatient drivers scare me. They are so reckless & I try to stay away from them as much as I can.

  2. This is such an important bog post! I see impatience so often and I wonder why the rush? What is so important that it is necessary to inflict an unpleasant attitude on everyone nearby? Let's just take the time to slow down a bit and consider others. Thanks for the reminder because we all need to hear it.

  5. I love this post. I try my best to show patience especiallly in stores or restaurants bc I really do appreciate what those employees must go through everyday. I'm guilty of impatience when I'm running late. I try to think about treating others like I would want to be treated.
